There was quite a buzz here in New York when supermodel Naomi Cambell showed up for her civic duty cleaning the sanitation garage as her punishment for hitting her cleaning lady with a cell phone.

Miss Naomi showed up everyday with a fancy outfit and a black Escalade. While everyone was talking about her clothes I was focused on the Escalade. :)

I just came across this article on the 2007 Cadillac Escalade and feel I should pass it on.

Such a thing of beauty that describing it would be futile, you have to ride it and feel for yourself how it feels to be in the presence of greatness. Going on board a Cadillac Escalade brings a feeling of awe and admiration not only for the exterior designing of the car nor the luxurious interior but also for the marvelous engineering that made such a car as this possible. And we can surely consider it to be a blessing to us for this timeless beauty of a car just got better.

With the 2007 model of the Escalade, Cadillac not only brings to the table what it has been offering to the public ever since they set foot in the industry but it also offers the public a whole new set of performance enhancing features. Not resting on their laurels, the people who designed this new model has pulled all the stops to give the public something that is loaded with features that leaves nothing to imagination. Of course, what can we expect from one of the forward thinking companies such as Cadillac?

The new Escalade has an array of features you would definitely want to be in your ride. It boasts of a Bosch audio system, which by the way is one of the best audio system in the world, a remote starter, power lift tailgate, HID headlamps, heated washer fluid system, rear-view camera and tri-zone climate controls. Awesome, huh?

If that is not enough for you, check where all the power comes from for you to drive this monster of a truck. It carries a mean Generation IV, 6.2 liter Vortec V8 engine which packs an awesome 403 horsepower and capable of churning out 417 lb. ft. of torque. All these power needs to get to the wheels and that is where the six-speed Hydra-matic 6L80 Heavy Duty automatic transmission comes in. This bridges the engine to the wheels thru other heavy duty Cadillac parts. It also offers a shift handle with a rocker shift to switch from manual to automatic transmission. Though, this feature seems to be for towing purposes only since it takes a little while for the transmission to kick into another gear. By the way, its towing capacity is a respectable 7700 lbs which is strong enough for a vehicle in the class of the Escalade.

Fuel efficiency is a little bit better than the previous models, promising 13 mpg on city driving or 19 mpg on the highway. This may come as a surprise because of the increase in power from the older model but the difference in fuel consumption is so small that it is negligible. Nevertheless, in the long run, owners of this vehicle will feel it in their wallets.

Comfort for the driver as well as the passengers have been given attention too. It still bears the mark that the company prides itself in, the pampering and the total pleasing experience when riding a vehicle such as this. The Escalade can normally seat up to 7 passengers but with the bench second seat, it can accommodate eight. The drivers seat is one of the more comfortable ones in any vehicles in the market today.

The manufacturer made sure that the person to drive their product will be in no hurry to leave his seat. Users can also control the seat to the best possible position while driving so that even long drives would not bring discomfort to the back and posterior of the driver. Also incorporated are adjustable pedals to make driving and controlling the gas and brakes more convenient for any driver, something any Escalade driver knows too well.

Tracy Morgan and his Escalade

What a shame and what was he thinking.

If you haven't heard this past week the actor that was on Saturday Night Live Tracy Morgan was arrested for driving under the influence in his Cadillac Escalade. The star was weaving and they pulled him over.

It is reported that he was involved in a small fender bender and the Escalade had steam coming from the radiator. I always like Tracy and I hope he learned his lesson. That Escalade could really have hurt a lot of people. I am glad the cops seen this before it could have gotten worse for him and others.

How to Remove Stains from Your Seats

Unfortunately for most Cadillac owners, stains have a real tendency to arise in the most unwanted spots in a Cadillac’s interior. One of the most common spots for a Cadillac to develop stains is on the seats, and whether they are made from cloth or from leather, stains are bound to arise sooner or later. Fortunately, it is easy to remove stains from leather seats, as there are literally hundreds of different products available from manufacturers like Mr. Clean and Armor All, which can quickly and easily remove even the toughest blemishes from the leather of your Cadillac seats. Cloth, however, is not nearly as easy to take care of as leather is, making it problematic for people who may have accidentally spilled a soda or wiped a set of greasy fingers on the interior. Nevertheless, even though cloth is more difficult to clean than leather, it can still be done provided you follow a specific process.

Obviously not all sodas will stain your Cadillac. You can spill 7up on your seats all day long if it suits you and it will never stain, even if your cloth interior is a light shade of grey or something similarly colored. However, darker soda and a variety of different fruit juices will give you a spot that is completely noticeable and highly difficult to remove under any circumstances – even if your cloth seats are dark charcoal colored or black.

Stains will be much easier to remove if you can get to them early before they are given a chance to set into the material, so provided you are not driving down the road at high speed when the stain first happens, it is advantageous to you to grab a napkin, paper towel or Kleenex and wipe up as much of the spill as you possibly can immediately.

Even if you get to the stain as soon as it occurs, chances are that some of the liquid will still end up settling into your fabric seats. A small amount of liquid is fine, so long as it is not a massive spill. You will want to use some sort of foaming fabric cleaner to get the stain out when you get back to your home or to a store that sells such cleaning products. You can generally find such cleaners for a relatively decent price (under $10) and they are definitely worth every penny if it saves your upholstery. Alternatively, you can use a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and cold water to remove stains if you are too cheap to purchase a chemical based stain removal product. If you do happen to own a Cadillac with leather interior, simply use warm water to wipe away the spill and prevent any staining.

A better method to remove stains is to prevent them from occurring in the first place. Good ways to do this are to purchase stain-repellent products like Scotch Guard and Armor All or to simply not allow yourself or your friends to drink or eat in your Cadillac.

Well it is that time of the year again. I opened up today's New York Daily News and there were Cadillac Dealers already selling 2007 models. I am not sure if they are pre order or these are already on the lot.

It looks like June 1st is the date to start advertising new cars. The newspaper was filled with every car makers new 2007 cars.

I can't wait to see the rest of the 2007 models as I am not really an Escalade type of guy but that's just me.
